Oops
Sorry 'bout that last post on LiveJournal. The new design moved the "Excerpt" box, and I filled in the wrong thing. Oh well. I also moved my script to a more secure location, so... hopefully these things won't happen again. Just for fun, I'm uploading a picture of my workstation in the Burrow, a CS lab behind key-card access on campus. My favorite place to work (on campus).
Oh, it's also to test the file upload feature, and see what it does.
For those unlearned in the Joys of Linux(tm) here's what I have open:
- Top left
- Terminal sshed into my website.
- Top Right
- This browser, Firefox on my LiveJournal, this admin, and the blog itself
- Bottom Right
- MPlayer, easily, hands down, the best media player ever made. I think it deserves a post of it's own later this week.
- Bottom Left
- sFTP from a terminal into my box at home to get an Open Office Impress (PowerPoint for you MS users) document I need to work on for tomorrow
- Center Left
- IRC session, found a good place to idle (where two other Wizzes from Walraven, including the elusive Al idle!)
- Center
- My OOImpess document
The skin on the desktop was about a 3 minute job. Killed the bottom bar, removed all the icons from the top, and added in just a Window selector, Desktop selector (might notice the names of the desktops), a default menu, logout button, and a command executor. Time's off on the right. Very minimalistic, but nice. What you can't see is the nice gradiant from #005700 to #570000, my two favorite colors.
Yea, the Admin page has a few.... problems... now. I just had to reformat my whole post after saving it. Annoying.
