Mafia

Published on January 29, 2006

For those of you who don’t know, I really enjoy the game Mafia. Another helpful link, before reading my post, is this forum.

Now that you know what it is, I have to tell you about the game I played last night. I was on a retreat, and there was about 17 of us playing this one round. I had just introduced them to a new rule, called “Warring Houses”. Instead of the normal, every mafia works together, you play that different groups of mafia (we had two, of two mafia each) tried to kill the other. Having said that, lets begin.

Stats

Interesting feature. Due to someone’s comments over Christmas Break I installed a stats feature. Just to see, you know… stats.

For those of you who have a username here, you can view them as well! It’s quite interesting to look at, and easy to tell some trends.

Police

Published on

Well… I had a little run in with the cops last night. A friend and I had gone back to my place to dye my hair, and I realized I was locked out. So, since my roommate wouldn’t be home for a good half hour, I decided to try and get in on my own. Tried the front door, my porch door, and even the kitchen window (which, apparently, my roommate locked the day before, even after saying “No one could get through there”).

Spring Cleaning

Published on January 22, 2006

Well, do to the fact that it’s felt like spring out here all week (highs in the 50’s) and somewhat sunny, I got in a cleaning mood. So I called up a good friend, and we not only reformatted our computers, but took them completely apart and cleaned everythin

Phishing Ideas

Published on January 20, 2006

Well, I’m loving my phishing class. They encourage hands on experiments, and I’ve already got the opportunity to carry out something that should lead to publication! (More to come on that after I get approval, etc). However, the main reason I like the class is I get to tthink like a bad guy. Something I do a lot, just never carry out due to my preference for white hat hacking, as opposed to black hat.

Software

Published on January 17, 2006

Over the next few days I’m putting up the page for Three Planets Software. Already I have a *much* better looking placeholder, and design ideas. Feedback is greatly appreciated, but please keep in mind it’s a work in progress, and the code behind it is really ugly right now.

Amazon

Well, I’ve gotta hand it to Amazon and their help line. Here’s why.

This Semester

Published on January 11, 2006

Well then, now that I’m awake and (somewhat) functioning, lemme break down this semester. In this post, I gave a break down of the courses I’m taking this semester. That changed on Monday. But I digress…
